"Fabulous lawyer, professional, sincere and genuine...highly recommended. Other lawyers shied away from our tough case but James took it on with verve and vigor. With a highly qualified support team, James has paved the way to settle our case. James has keen attention to detail and a good ability to problem solve. The client has to make the final decisions on matters and quality advice is essential if the correct decisions are to be made, that's what you get from James. I cannot recommend James and Blue Ocean Law Group enough, they are pinnacles in the profession!" You may use this form to obtain a sealed copy of any judgment or order made by the court.
You can apply for a sealed copy of a judgment or order at the registry.
See the Civil Procedure Regulation 2017 (NSW) for the fee if the court furnishes a sealed or certified copy of a judgment or order.
On some occasions a non-party may require a copy of a judgment or order.
In that instance, the non-party e.g. a trustee in bankruptcy, must provide an address where the sealed copy of the judgment or order may be sent.
Judgments or orders are public documents.
Therefore, you MUST include the Australian Company Number (“ACN”) of all parties that are companies:
⚖️ Include this information (i.e. the company name plus ACN) in the TITLE OF PROCEEDINGS section if there are up to two plaintiffs and up to two defendants.
⚖️ Include this information (i.e. the company name plus ACN) in the PARTY DETAILS section if there are more than two plaintiffs and/or more than two defendants and/or any cross-claims.
Try to ensure that some text appears above the seal, and that a new page does not start with a court seal, so that the court is not asked to stamp an otherwise blank page.
You may specify ‘Judgment’ or ‘Order’ rather than ‘Judgment / Order’ in the title of the form and in the DATE and TERMS headings in the form if it is appropriate to do so.
